All the prices are per person in US dollars and include a car with driver, English-speaking guide, meals, hotels or homestay house, the boat (for the Coc Ly programme), the permits and the entrances into the villages.
Upon request, we can give you the rate including the roundtrip train ticket Hanoi-Lao Cai, the transfers from Lao Cai or Sapa to Bac Ha, as well as a combination of trekking around Sapa and Bac Ha.
ATTENTION : The rates include a local guide only. If you do not go to Bac Ha with a guide from our agency, you have to pay yourself an English-speaking guide in addition to the local one : 20$ for one day, 40$ for 2 days and 60$ for 3 days.

This very beautiful 6-7-hour trekking starts with a long climb offering superb panoramas, upto the hmong village of Ta Van Chu, passing through the dao village of Quang Phi Ngai. Lunch in a small homestay in Ta Van Chu and descent all the way down to Bac Ha on different trails, going through the tay and nung village of Ta Chai. |
Departure from Bac ha in a car with driver and guide, ddirection the small Coc Ly Market, 23 km west of Bac Ha and where the local minorities H'mong, Dao, Nung, Phu La, etc. gather for a morning of trade and eating. Lunch at the market.
The car then takes you to the banks of the Chay River for a beautiful boat ride down to the village of Bao Nhai, where the car picks you up to return to Bac Ha. |

This exceptional trekking takes you to the Pu Luong Natural reserve, an 18 000-ha mountain massif south of the well-known valley of de Mai Chau, wit the highest peak reaching 1441 m. The north-east, where the trekkings take place, is a maze of lime peaks and small valleys. 1109 species of flora have been classified, as well as 342 species of fauna, including extremely rare Delacour Lungurs. The reserve is mainly populated of Thai and Muong minority tribes, with some h'mongs and dao. The region is also famous for the beauty of its rice field terraces. |

We leave Hanoi for the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, south of Mai Chau, Hoa Binh Province, including a 4-hour drive through the Red River Delta, and then higher and higher mountain ranges with amazing panoramas. Lunch in the village of Muong Khen, then climb a large pass, crossed a plateau and vertiginous descent on the cliff to a large valley. We finally arrive at the foot of the mountain where is located the small Thai village of Ban Hieu. Walking to the village, rest, dinner and overnight in the beautiful guest house on stilts of Tam and Tung.

Day 3 : BAN HIEU – PU LUONG – MAI CHAU (3 meals) We leave Ban Hieu and cross the whole national park by beautiful little mountain roads. We arrive for lunch in the superb valley of Mai Chau. Walk in the valley and its villages of Pom Coong and Ban Lac. Delicious dinner and overnight in a Thai house in Pom Coong. |

Day 4 : MAI CHAU – HOA BINH - HANOI (breakf.) Relax walking through the rice fields and villages of Pom Coong and Ban Lac. Lunch at your charge and return to Hanoi, where we drop you at your hotel around 18:00 (or drive Mai Chau-Tam Coc). Before or after your 4 or 6-day trekking, we propose to you a one-day option in the beautiful Valley of Mai Chau, where you have diner and spend the night in a stilted family house of the Thai village of Pom Coong. |
